Therapeutic Massage in Bentonville, AR – Clinical Massage Therapy at Flourish Functional Wellness Center
Not just relief.A therapeutic reset.
Whether you need an hour of relief or you’re working through something that hasn’t gone away on its own, you’re welcome here. Our massage therapist takes the time to listen, figure out what your body actually needs, and work from there. Techniques are matched to what your body actually needs that day.
“Most people know massage helps. What they don’t always know is why it stops working, or why they’re still carrying the same tension they walked in with six months ago.”
Sometimes you just need relief and that’s completely enough. Other times, the same tension keeps coming back no matter how often you go, and you start to wonder if massage is even working. It is. It just needs to be matched to what’s actually going on. When your therapist takes time to listen before the session starts, when the techniques are chosen for you specifically, and when your care is connected to the bigger picture of your health, things start to hold.
Whether you need an hour or a plan, we’re ready.
You want a great massage from someone who knows what they’re doing. No intake process, no long-term plan required. Pick your time, book it, and show up.

You’ve been dealing with the same thing for a while and you’re ready to actually do something about it. This is where the integrative side of what we do comes in.
- ✓
Every session starts with a real conversation. We want to know what’s going on before we start.

Progress tracked between sessions. We take notes, follow up, and adjust as your body responds.
- ✓
Coordinated with chiropractic and functional medicine care if you’re seeing our other providers. Nothing gets lost between appointments.
- ✓
The goal is resolution, not indefinite maintenance. We want to get you somewhere that holds.
You don’t need a complicated reason to come in.
Some people just want a good massage and that’s reason enough. Others are dealing with something specific that standard massage has never been able to address. If any of these sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
“I don’t have anything major going on. I just know I hold tension and I want someone who actually knows what they’re doing.”
- Relief
- relaxation
- Self-care
You want to feel good and you want to trust the person doing the work.

- Nervous system tension

What we work with most.
You don’t have to know exactly what’s wrong to book a session. But if you’ve been dealing with something specific, here’s a plain-language look at what we address and how.
- Musculoskeletal
Tension, Pain, and Postural Problems
Stiff neck. Tight shoulders. Lower back that never fully loosens up. These aren’t random. They’re usually patterns the body has learned over time, from sitting, compensation after an injury, or just the way stress lands in your muscles. We work on the pattern, not just the spot that hurts.
Common symptoms
Neck and shoulder tension · Upper cross syndrome · Lower back tightness · Hip imbalance · Tension headaches · Postural pain
What we address
Neuromuscular repatterning · Deep tissue release · Trigger point therapy · Myofascial work · Coordination with chiropractic care when applicable
- Soft Tissue
Scar Tissue, Adhesions, and Fascial Restriction
Old injuries and surgical scars leave a mark even after everything’s healed. The tissue around them gets tight, movement gets restricted, and other parts of the body start compensating. Most massage doesn’t touch this because it takes specific techniques. We work with it regularly.
Common presentations
Post-surgical restriction · Injury adhesions · Fascial tightness · Limited range of motion · Compensatory pain patterns
What we address
Scar mobilization · Myofascial release · Cross-fiber friction · Fascial unwinding · Movement re-education coordination
- Nervous System
Nervous System and Trauma-Informed Care
Sometimes what your body is holding isn’t just physical. Stress, anxiety, and trauma live in the nervous system and show up as tension, shallow breathing, jaw tightness, and a body that feels like it can’t fully relax even when nothing’s wrong. Our approach is trauma-informed. That means we create a space where your body can actually let go, not just be worked on. Every session starts with a conversation. Nothing happens until you’re comfortable.
Common symptoms
Chronic stress-related tension · Anxiety-driven muscle guarding · Sleep disruption · Jaw and neck tension · Shallow breathing patterns
What we address
ANS regulation techniques · Craniosacral work · Parasympathetic activation · Coordinated nervous system support with chiropractic AK assessment
- Lymphatic
Drainage and Inflammatory Support
The lymphatic system moves fluid, supports your immune system, and clears out waste. When it gets sluggish, from surgery, inflammation, or just being stuck in one position too long, you feel it. Swelling, puffiness, that heavy feeling that won’t go away. Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle, specialized technique that gets things moving again. We also offer facial cupping and facial massage that support lymphatic drainage in the face and neck specifically.
Common presentations
Post-surgical swelling · Chronic inflammation · Immune sluggishness · Detox support · Lymphedema management
What we address
Manual lymphatic drainage · Gentle rhythmic technique · Coordinated with functional medicine care · Pre- and post-surgical support
- Prenatal
Prenatal Massage
Pregnancy is hard on the body in ways that don’t always get enough attention. Shifting weight, changing posture, disrupted sleep, swelling in the legs and feet. Prenatal massage is safe, adapted to each stage of pregnancy, and genuinely helpful for keeping the body comfortable and the nervous system regulated during a time when both are working overtime.
- Cupping
Cupping and Facial Cupping
Cupping uses gentle suction to release tight tissue, improve circulation, and bring blood flow to areas that have been stuck for a while. We offer both body cupping for muscle and soft tissue work and facial cupping, a gentle gliding technique that doesn’t leave marks and supports lymphatic drainage and tension in the face and jaw. A lot of people who’ve never tried it become regulars.
What actually happens when you come in.
No surprises. No pressure. Just a straightforward process built around you.
- Step 01
Book your session
Pick your session length and grab a time that works. After you book, you’ll get a short intake form to fill out ahead of your appointment. It’s just the basics: health history, anything we should know about before we meet.
- Step 02
Start with a conversation
Before anything else, we talk. We want to know how you’re feeling, what’s been going on, and what you’re hoping to get out of the session. This isn’t a clinical interview. It’s just how we make sure we’re actually doing the right work for you. Your session time starts when hands are on you, so this conversation doesn’t eat into your massage.
- Step 03
We figure out what your body needs
We take a quick look at how you’re holding yourself and where things feel restricted. Nothing invasive. Just enough to make sure the techniques we use are actually matched to you and not just a standard routine applied to everyone.
- Step 04
Your session
From there, we get to work. Deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, cupping, prenatal support, hot towels, and scalp and facial massage. Whatever makes the most sense for where you are that day. Most people are surprised by how different it feels when it’s built around them specifically.
- Step 05
Before you leave
We’ll talk through what we worked on and give you a few things to do between sessions to support what we started. Most people leave with a bit of homework. We’ll check in within 24 to 48 hours to see how you’re feeling.
- Step 06
Ongoing Care
Some people come back regularly. Others come in when they need it. Either works. If you’re working through something specific, we’ll track your progress and adjust as your body responds. The goal is always to get you somewhere that actually holds, not to keep you coming back indefinitely for the same issue.
Everything you’re probably wondering.
These are the questions we hear most from people considering therapeutic massage at Flourish in Bentonville Arkansas for the first time.
Book a SessionIs this just a regular massage?
It can be, if that’s what you need. You’re welcome to book a session for relief, relaxation, or just because you want a good massage. If you’re dealing with something more specific, we’re equipped for that too. You don’t have to commit to anything beyond the session you book.
What types of massage do you offer?
We work with deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, lymphatic drainage, craniosacral technique, scar mobilization, cupping, facial cupping, prenatal massage, and hot towel and scalp and facial massage. Your session will pull from whatever combination actually fits what you need.
Do I need to be a chiropractic or functional medicine patient to get a massage?
Not at all. Massage at Flourish is completely standalone. You don’t need a referral, an existing care plan, or any other appointment here. If your care does connect across our team, great. But it’s not a requirement.
Do you offer prenatal massage?
Yes. Prenatal massage is adapted to each stage of pregnancy and focused on keeping your body comfortable and your nervous system regulated. Safe for all trimesters with provider clearance.
Do you offer cupping?
Yes, both body cupping and facial cupping. Body cupping releases fascial tension and improves circulation in restricted areas. Facial cupping is a gentle gliding technique that supports lymphatic drainage and jaw and facial tension without leaving marks.
Do you work with post-surgical patients?
Yes. Scar tissue and restricted fascia after surgery are things we work with regularly. If you’re cleared for massage post-surgery, we can help with what’s still holding you back.
How does massage fit with chiropractic care?
When massage and chiropractic work together, adjustments tend to hold better and soft tissue work tends to go deeper. If you’re seeing our chiropractors, your sessions can be coordinated. If you’re not, your massage stands completely on its own.
How often should I come in?
It depends on what you’re working on. For general maintenance, most people find monthly sessions helpful. For something more specific, more frequent sessions early on tend to get you to a resolution faster. We’ll give you an honest recommendation after your first session.
Do I need a referral?
No referral is needed. You can book a free discovery call directly, and we’ll talk through whether therapeutic massage at Flourish is the right fit for your situation before any commitment is required.
Is therapeutic massage covered by insurance in Arkansas?
Coverage varies by provider and plan. Some HSA and FSA accounts cover therapeutic massage with a provider’s note. We recommend calling your insurer directly.
Tension should have a cause and a solution. We find both.
Your first session starts with listening. We’ll go through your history, assess what’s actually driving the pattern, and build a session around what we find.
