UTI’S Chronic Yeast Infections, & BV: What Actually Works

If you’ve been dealing with chronic yeast infections or recurrent BV (bacterial vaginosis), you know how frustrating it can be. You try everything—probiotics, antibiotics, fermented foods, medications—but nothing seems to stick. In fact, some of those “remedies” might actually be fueling the fire. Let’s break this down and get real about what might actually help.

Start With the Basics: Diet & Daily Stress

This isn’t about some complicated protocol. Start with whole, simple foods and eliminate the usual suspects—gluten, dairy, sugar, alcohol, and processed junk. There are plenty of basic anti-inflammatory diets online that can help you get started.

But food isn’t the only stressor.

  • Are you under constant stress?
  • Working night shifts?
  • Running on coffee and 4 hours of sleep?

These things spike cortisol, throw off your rhythm, and open the door to chronic infections. Be honest with yourself. If your nervous system is in “fight or flight” all the time, nothing else you take is going to land the way it should.

Are Your Supplements Working Against You?

This one surprises people: stop probiotics and multivitamins—at least for now (maybe). Same goes for fermented foods like kombucha, kimchi, and sauerkraut. These can actually make symptoms worse for some people with chronic infections.

Instead, here’s a better place to start:

Support your detox pathways with:

  • Niacinamide and Molybdenum – assists in clearing acetaldehyde, a toxic byproduct of yeast
  • Low-dose herbal antimicrobials: Olive leaf, Oregon grape, Gentian root, Andrographis, Astragalus, Uva Ursi, etc. The list goes on.

Cycle herbs low and slow over 4–6 weeks. It’s not about going hard—it’s about being consistent.

If you’re stuck in the cycle of chronic yeast infections or BV, know this: you’re not broken, and there is a way out. The long-term fix usually isn’t another round of antibiotics or a quick pharma solution. It often takes a deeper look—into your stress, your gut, your routine, and even the “healthy” habits that might be adding fuel to the fire. The good news? Your body wants to heal. With the right support and a little detective work, real progress is possible. And if you ever feel stuck, reach out—we’ve got your back.
